Haar linkervoet sink weg. Bloed en modder vou om haar sandaal. Irma kyk op. “Liewe genade …”

Irma Mulder is ’n eens erkende oorlogjoernalis.

“Shit,” Irma whispered. Slowly stepping in the direction of the tree. There is something shiny under the tree. She gazes at it. Even though it is not dark anymore, she is unable to see clearly in the early morning light. The smell of metal burns up her nose. She is well aware what this smell is. Step by step she carefully goes closer. She stops. Her left feet sunk away in blood and mud that slowly folds around her sandal. Irma looks up. “Holy …”

Irma Mulder is a well-known journalist.  She moved back to South Africa shortly after an explosion claimed the life of one of her cameramen. Now settled in the small tourist town, Nelspruit, she writes short articles for the local newspaper, Tuis. However, she is dissatisfied with the stories her publishing director is sending her on. Will the police be able to catch the serial killer before it’s to late?
